What is Quercetin?

Quercetin may be the strongest of nature's anti-inflammatories. Quercetin is a plant pigment found in many foods such as onions, apples, berries, tea, grapes and red wine. It's not a nutrient, but is classified as a flavonoid. These flavonoids are what give fruits and vegetables their vibrant color.

What does Quercetin do?

Flavonoids such as quercetin are antioxidants -- they scavenge damaging particles in the body known as free radicals, which damage cell membranes, tamper with DNA, and even cause cell death. The anti-inflammatory properties help support prostate health. Taking Quercetin along with Maximum Prostate may be the ultimate defense against prostate problems. Lab studies also suggest that it may reduce the oxidation of LDL ("bad") cholesterol, and act as an antihistamine.
